Changes to the Visa Rescheduling Process Starting January 1, 2025

The Indian USA Embassy has announced updates regarding student visa interview dates to make the process easier and reduce wait times.

A) From January 1, 2025, students and visitor visa applicants can choose the location for their initial nonimmigrant visa appointment. You can reschedule once for free if needed, but a third attempt will require paying the visa fee again.

B) If you miss your appointment or need to reschedule a second time, you will need to pay the visa fee again to book a new appointment. With long wait times, make sure you can attend the interview on the date you select.
